This is my first MMO.
I have a lv 59 Champion named Skarfberry and a goat named Critterberry.
I am getting sick of the 'solo' thing and want to try a few team missions with
people in the same time zone.

Role Playing is not my first instinct. I like one of the Canandian Kins who claim that 'Sauron
owes them money and they are after him to get it back!' (Fool them for lending it in the
first place I say...)
But give me abit of warning and I am sure I can thee like a thou with the worst of the knaves every now
and then if it will help.

When in doubt I ask a complete stranger, lotro players seem to be very
helpful.

Hi everyone
My character's name is Yuwen. I am currently a level 33 warden doing the quests around the south part of Evendim. I was in the Kinship last year with a Lore-Master named Maripaz (my daughter's name) but I didn't renew my subscription. I came back about 2 months ago with some friends and we are looking for a kinship. I would love to rejoin, if you'll have me again. I think my friends are going to use me as the guinea pig because they don't have any MMO experience.
I am a Canadian living and working in Japan. I would like to RP more in the game but I realize that it is difficult when most others do not. Still, I try to stay in character as often as possible.

I decided that I need to do some more work on the maps before I post them so I'll do them closer to the release. For now here are some random thoughts on the upcoming changes (minor spoilers).

- The new epic (volume 3 book 2) requires that you have done vol. 3 book 1, so if you still have that sitting in your quest log I suggest you do it sooner rather than later.
- Vol. 3 book 2 starts at Elrond and about halfway through you will end up in the new zone, Enedwaith.
- You can go to Enedwaith without the epic but I would recommend starting with the epic because it's hard to find all the quest hubs otherwise
- Turbine points are awarded for deed completion but are not retroactive. You may want to leave deed grinding until after F2P launch
- The exception to this is that you will get retroactive points for the new reputation deeds, so if you want more points at launch you should grind all your reps that don't have deeds yet
- It's really easy to blow lots of points very quickly. Unless you have lots of money IRL, don't use TP on anything that can be bought or earned in-game
- 2 more character slots can be bought with points
- Vault space level requirements have been relaxed (perhaps removed completely? I'm not sure) so your alts can now have a lot more space
- Getting your vault space up to the current level can be done with gold or TP, as above I would recommend not wasting your TP on this
- An additional 2 vault bags as well as additional shared space/wardrobe can be purchased with TP only (guess where all my TP are going...). Additional vault space is per character.
- There are 2 new rep factions, Grey Company and Algraig. Currently both require grinding of daily quests but Algraig is much much worse than Grey Company.
- Take the ox meat back to the Algraig or you will regret it later
- F2P and even premium is really just an extended trial. Unless you play very casually, keeping up your subscription is the cheaper option (eg premium has to pay TP to unlock swift travel for an hour)
- This is the most awesomest festival ever (haunted house in Bilbo's cellar - yes this is one of the maps I am planning to post)
- Don't think it's been announced yet if festival is launching at the same time as F2P or earlier/later
- AFAIK we still don't know what the horseshoe does but it definitely does something
- Excited about new scalable instances but haven't tried them out myself so can't really give you any feedback. Hope they scale Rift soon.

Haven't been on Bullroarer for a while because I got sick of grinding Algraig rep but happy to go on and check any details or get screenies.

welcome on board then, i hope you'll enjoy our company. I have to warn you, lately it has been quiet in our kin and attendance sporadic. It happens at time when people have RL demands and there isn't anything new in the game. This will probably change when F2P and new content comes.
